The Meaning Behind my Full Moon Rings.
I chose this format for a few reasons:
- The Moon has always reminded me of two people that were very important to me growing up. I lost both of them many years ago, and I honor their memory with each cycle.
- Midnight's Honor is the name of my company. Midnight (the darkest part of the night) symbolizes the path we walk through the darkness. The light of the full moon can both heal and guide us through the darkest of times.
- One of those people I lost, her name was Lizzy, used the moon metaphor to comfort me during times of intense stress. "Look to the moon. Even if you can't see it, it's there. Just like me."
Star Jewelry
Polaris - New Moon
This piece is modeled after the brightest star in the night sky. And is offered in a few different options. Black, polished steel, and textured with two different patterns. It's also offered in textured brass (as seen below).
Seraph. The name came from the above image. The rays of light graced the skin of the wearer like a gentle brush from the feathers of angel.
Moon Ring Jewelry
The Moon and It's Tail. This ring symbolizes the crescent moon and it's orbit around the earth. It connects me to the cyclical nature of our lives.
These are just a few of the pieces I release on the full moon. There's something about bathing in the light of the full moon and releasing a collection of jewelry forged from iron during that time that's particularly striking.
