Statement rings are a piece of jewelry that fits around your finger and is meant to draw the attention of others. They often contain intricate details and have a stone (precious or semi-precious) worked into the design, although this is not required. In my book, all pieces ought to be worn in a manner that is well tailored to one's individual style.

Rings can make a statement by drawing the eye of others while still existing in harmony with one's personality and outfit.

For example, there are rings I've designed that I often wear with dress clothes. In one case, I spent a good deal of time attempting to get the finish close to my favorite watch (which is a stainless gunmetal). I wear both this ring and watch on the same hand/ wrist to create a fashionable statement.

Sometimes, we picture statement rings as these bulky tacky pieces that are designed to appear out of place. And while this is perfect on its own, I believe there are other beautiful ways to wear a statement ring. One that is often unique to the wearer.
